Flanders BioImaging received an FWO International Infrastructure grant of 4.3 M€. The grant underscores our consortium's excellence in biomedical imaging and advanced light microscopy, putting us in the same category as the Flemish consortium engaging at CERN and the Einstein Telescope.
Flanders BioImaging has been awarded a 4.3 M€ FWO International Research Infrastructure grant to promote Flemish participation in international research infrastructure and supporting initiatives carried out at large-scale international facilities.
The funding allows us to raise the efficiency of imaging infrastructure exploitation, accelerate technological development and consolidate the leading international position of Flanders in bio-imaging.
With the grant, we will also be able to participate in EuroBioImaging, a landmark European Research Infrastructure Consortium, enabling them to provide cutting-edge spearpoint imaging applications across Europe.
"This is a huge step for the imaging community in Flanders. The funding recognizes the level of performance and services offered at our different facilities."
